Do you like „knedliky“? What about „gulas“? „Svickova“? „Rizky“? Or „strudel“? Do you know any other Czech culinary specialities? In this Study Czech Friday lesson, we’re going to make one of the most common and popular dishes – fried cheese, AKA „smazak“!
Have you tried it? Can you make it? And how about „stouchane brambory“ and tartar sauce to go with it?
Preparing this classic dish will give us a chance to learn the Czech terms for basic ingredients and activities involved in cooking. After the lesson, you’ll have no trouble reading Czech recipes, no matter how complicated, and thus, bit by bit, can uncover the richness of Czech cuisine.
We will end the evening by tasting everything we’ve cooked, of course, accompanied by a selection of craft beers from small Czech breweries.
